Cubing Glossary
This will contain a lot of the common terms when talking about cubing in general.
Center Piece: The middle piece of the 9 stickers on a face. This is on the core.
Corner: A cubie with three stickers
Cross: The first layer edges in the correct position
Cubie: A loose plastic part of a cube
Edge: A cubie with two stickers.
Face: A side of the cube. On a 3×3, this consists of 9 stickers.
Layer: A side of the cube. On a 3×3, this is the physical pieces (18 stickers total, 8 plastic pieces)
