Finally! A good PHP email validation

While I was writing Coal Games Project, I needed an email validation function. I searched through many different sites to find a good solution. Some were overkill and made a whole class and sloppy coding. Others did not validate 100% correctly. Finally, I found the right solution: http://www.dominicsayers.com/isemail/. Everything is wrapped up into a nice [...]

WordPress Ram Usage

WordPress is a very popular php blogging script. It is also very easy to use and edit but, there is a price ticket. WordPress uses a whopping amount of ram. Since I make an arcade script myself, I also look at other people’s arcade script. Once, I came across GameSiteScript and it claimed that they [...]

Linux has a very different file system. Linux uses the Ext filesystem which is a lot different from the NTFS system that Windows uses. If you install Linux with Windows, problems may occur. Linux and Macintosh can read Windows files but, Windows can not read the Linux and Macintosh file system natively. Windows still remains [...]

Ever since October after Windows 7 came out, I have been asked the question many times : “Is Windows 7 Really Worth Upgrading To”.

My answer: It depends.

Windows 7 comes with a lot of new features. Windows 7 also comes with a lot of bug fixes. But, of course, Windows 7 is built on Windows vista meaning that there are still some bugs. Since many websites have already covered why Windows 7 is good or not, I will not focus on that part.

Introduction
WordPress comes with a fully automated installer. The only preparation needed for installing WordPress is to set up the database information (username, password, database, host) and copying the files to the directory in which you want to install it. Installing Wordpress is very simple and is very intuitive but may be too simple.

WordPress Review – Pros and Cons

Since I needed to think of something to talk about on my blog and this is my first real post, I decided to talk about what was powering my blog: Wordpress. I will give what I think of Wordpress at the time of writing this post, Wordpress is at 2.8.6 for stable.

This will be a multipart review of Wordpress

Wordpress is supported by many people around the world and a lot of websites also use Wordpress whether it is a blog or using Wordpress as a CMS. For me, I have only ever used Wordpress and I have never used another blogging program because Wordpress is good enough for me. It is very popular so you can expect to get a lot of good support from the Wordpress community.
